Costco Wholesale

Broccolini was retained to build Costco Wholesale's 100th store in Canada and 9th store in the GTA.

This project featured the integration of a historical façade into a retail location, the façade of an old Coca-Cola plant. This was a different strategy for the wholesaler, whose other retail locations are generally pre-engineered buildings.

The new 160 000-sq.ft. warehouse is a conventional steel structure with concrete stem walls, masonry walls, metal siding, insulated metal panels, TPO roofing system and concrete slab on grade.

The biggest challenge of the project was the aggressive schedule. The teams had to ensure the building was enclosed prior to the winter months to accommodate the client's desired completion date which was in the spring of 2018.
