The suspected organization or individuals are sending employment contracts pretending to be Broccolini representatives and are requesting personal information to start an immigration procedure for employment in Canada. Please be cautious of these emails as they are considered fraudulent and a way of stealing money and identity as well as other personal information from you.

Broccolini’s recruitment process always includes in-person interviews with a member of our Human Resources team and/or a member of our management team prior to any official employment offer. Money would never be requested in exchange for a position or to secure a visa to enter Canada.

We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited employment offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar and suggest that you report them to your local authorities. If you think you have received a fraudulent employment offer, please forward it to hrinfo@broccolini.com and ensure to include the original subject line, email address of sender and complete message including attachments.

Canadian Tire Distribution Centre

Address: 13304 Coleraine Drive, Bolton

Completion date: 2017

Building area: 1,500,000 sq.ft.

Contract: Fixed price

Canadian Tire is investing in a new 1.5 M sq.ft. distribution centre on a plot of land of approximately 180 acres. The new facility will be able to process between 350 to 800 truck deliveries daily.

Understanding the importance of efficient distribution facilities and processes when it comes to serving the needs of its customers, Canadian Tire continues to invest in its distribution network across the country. After completing the construction of a distribution centre for Canadian Tire in Quebec in 2009, Broccolini is proud to take on the construction management services for a second distribution centre located in Bolton, Ontario.

Like the Quebec distribution centre, the Ontario distribution centre will house state-of-the-art automated material handling equipment and systems. The Bolton project consists of the construction of the warehouse and the auxiliary buildings.

The challenges to overcome during the execution of the project include, among others, the necessary revision of the height of the doors. As the current height of 10 ft. is insufficient to accommodate the Canadian Tire supply chain, all prefabricated exterior walls are cut to obtain a height of 11 ft., therefore responding to a need for a ground level door which will allow trucks to circulate inside (drive-in). The immediate concern is to ensure to close the building before the winter 2015, as well as the installation of walkways required for the logistics chain in 2015.

The expected delivery date for part A of the main building is November 2016, in order to ensure that MHE Fortna can begin the installation of racks and conveyors, while construction will continue on parts B and C, in addition to the work in progress on part A.

The project began in July 2014 and was completed in 2017.

Broccolini's ability to continuously prioritize on safety, value, collaboration, schedule and phasing, has allowed us to strengthen and maintain a business relationship with Canadian Tire that dates back some 20 years.
