Purolator

Purolator is Canada's leading integrated freight, parcel and logistics solutions provider. The company has been serving people across Canada for more than 50 years. Purolator is continuing to expand its reach to more individuals, businesses and communities across the country and around the world.

The company wanted a new facility that would meet the changing needs of their customers and their continued growth in Quebec. The building would have to include space for sorting packages and for transhipment.

Purolator's 160,000-sq.ft. centre was built at an accelerated pace in order to meet tight deadlines. The design-build construction management method was implemented to ensure budget and scheduling remained top priorities. Purolator trusted Broccolini with the management, the design, and the construction of the new cutting-edge sorting centre.

Located on land adjacent to Montreal's Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau International Airport, the centre includes automated conveyor technology for sorting and scanning, allowing the facility to handle more than 24,000 packages per hour. The centre was designed to accommodate potential growth in the coming years.
