Broccolini has recently been informed of fraudulent recruitment activities targeting people outside of Canada. The suspected organization or individuals are sending employment contracts pretending to be Broccolini representatives and are requesting personal information to start an immigration procedure for employment in Canada. Please be cautious of these emails as they are considered fraudulent and a way of stealing money and identity as well as other personal information from you.

Broccolini’s recruitment process always includes in-person interviews with a member of our Human Resources team and/or a member of our management team prior to any official employment offer. Money would never be requested in exchange for a position or to secure a visa to enter Canada.

We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited employment offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar and suggest that you report them to your local authorities. If you think you have received a fraudulent employment offer, please forward it to and ensure to include the original subject line, email address of sender and complete message including attachments.

Everest Cold Storage

Address: 10000 rue Ryan, Dorval

Completion date: 2008

Building area: 95,000 sq.ft.

Contract: Management

Everest Cold Storage entrusted Broccolini with the management of its new construction project in Dorval – a large refrigerated warehouse with a free height of almost 45 feet.

Everest Cold Storage is an actively growing private company specializing in refrigerated storage. It provides outbound logistics services guaranteeing accurate, timely and cost-effective solutions. In 2008, Everest's executives entrusted Broccolini, its business associate since 1998, with the management of its new construction project in Dorval (corner of Côte-de-Liesse and Highway 13).

Broccolini has acquired solid experience in the field of refrigerated warehouse construction over the years, with customers such as Everest, Atlas and Viau. This new project includes a 65-foot high refrigerated warehouse (75,000 sq. ft.), a refrigerated loading dock (15,000 sq. ft.) and a section that includes offices and a mechanical equipment room (5,000 sq. ft.). The warehouse consists of 4,500,000 cubic feet of space refrigerated to -20°C and 14,900 pallet spaces. The building's temperature varies between -28 and 6 °C (-20 and 43 °F). The offices occupy the main floor, with a 2,500 sq.ft. mezzanine and a conference room.

The main challenge for a project of this type is the insulation: several insulation panels, 6 inches and 10 inches thick for the walls and roof, respectively, ensure the building's energy efficiency. Furthermore, the warehouse's exterior envelope consists of metal siding. The loading dock and the office space are built of precast concrete.

Coordinated by Broccolini, this project started in June 2008 and was completed in March 2009. As early as mid-December 2008, the warehouse was ready to receive the pallet cradles, which were laid out to cover the full height of this section and accessible by a complex system of lift machinery.
