IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Broccolini has recently been informed of fraudulent recruitment activities targeting people outside of Canada. The suspected organization or individuals are sending employment contracts pretending to be Broccolini representatives and are requesting personal information to start an immigration procedure for employment in Canada. Please be cautious of these emails as they are considered fraudulent and a way of stealing money and identity as well as other personal information from you.

Broccolini’s recruitment process always includes in-person interviews with a member of our Human Resources team and/or a member of our management team prior to any official employment offer. Money would never be requested in exchange for a position or to secure a visa to enter Canada.

We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited employment offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar and suggest that you report them to your local authorities. If you think you have received a fraudulent employment offer, please forward it to hrinfo@broccolini.com and ensure to include the original subject line, email address of sender and complete message including attachments.

Erin Mills Town Centre

Address: 5100, Erin Mills Parkway, Mississauga

Completion date: 2016

Building area: 155,000 sq.ft.

Contract: Fixed price

The Erin Mills Town Centre shopping mall announced a significant investment in renovations in celebration of their 25th anniversary. A major component of the renovation features the replacement of the clock tower by an iconic massive glass sphere.

Mandated by 20Vic Management Inc., Broccolini proudly broke ground for this magnificent construction project in September 2013. Spanning over 2 years, the project consisted of the renovation and expansion of the prestigious Erin Mills Town Centre shopping mall. In addition to the renovations, Broccolini built 25,000 sq.ft. of new shopping areas, including a new food court on the 2nd floor. An interior courtyard in the new section will be highlighted by a massive 90-ft. diameter, double curvature glass sphere suspended from the ceiling.

As the Centre is a popular shopping destination, it was necessary that the mall remain in operation throughout the process. Therefore, all the construction work has to take place at night, after the mall is closed. Strong communication is essential for the proper operation of the project; the day teams (architects, engineers, planning team) need to ensure to put clear plans in place for the night crews.

Like all construction, the work is messy. Unlike in open construction sites, the team must make sure to plan time for cleanup at the end of each night before the mall opens at 8:00 each morning (storage of tools and materials, cleaning away dust and debris).
