For their penetration into the Canadian market, Target had several needs – from the construction of new distribution centers and stores, to the renovation of existing stores it had acquired.
We had the privilege of being chosen by Target to build many of their Canadian retail stores. We first concentrated on building the Target stores located in Ontario, starting with the Aurora and New Market locations. These projects consisted in the conversion of the former Zeller stores into Target stores. The projects required demolition back to base building, including the installation of new electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems. New security and data systems were provided. The façades were also being refurbished in order to reflect Target's branding standards.
In Quebec, the renovations of 9 stores was also carried out. The first stores to be built were located in the Centre Laval, Galeries d'Anjou and Place Alexis Nihon shopping centres.
"We are thrilled to have been selected by Target," says Broccolini CEO John Broccolini. "We have strong experience in the construction of distribution centres as well as big box retail stores for prestigious brands."Print
