The suspected organization or individuals are sending employment contracts pretending to be Broccolini representatives and are requesting personal information to start an immigration procedure for employment in Canada. Please be cautious of these emails as they are considered fraudulent and a way of stealing money and identity as well as other personal information from you.

Broccolini’s recruitment process always includes in-person interviews with a member of our Human Resources team and/or a member of our management team prior to any official employment offer. Money would never be requested in exchange for a position or to secure a visa to enter Canada.

We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited employment offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar and suggest that you report them to your local authorities. In 2005, Progel, later becoming Tergel, established its first gelatin manufacturing plant in Terrbonne, Quebec. This project began with the construction of a new building followed immediately by an expansion of the plant.

The project mandate consisted of the construction of a new building that would be used primarily for the purposes of manufacturing and would include its own water purification plant. While the construction project was ongoing, the street name was changed from Henry-Bessemer Street to Italia Street. Construction started in 2003 and the building opened in 2005.

Following the design-build of the original building, with a surface area of 74,000 sq.ft., the new European owners of the gelatin manufacturing plant (Weishardt International, Tergel) entrusted Broccolini with the design and construction of an addition to the building. The requested expansion of 17,000 sq.ft. would respond to the need for more spacein order to accommodate new packaging operations, increased storage capacity, and an isolated chemical storage area. Along with these additions, significant improvements were made within the original building in order to meet the needs of their proprietary process.

Just as with the initial phase of construction, the expansion phase continued to benefit from Broccolini's industry-recognized adaptability and flexibility in working within the owner's program and fast tracked process development sequence, essentially shortening the overall construction cycle. Weishardt, a global player gelatin manufacturer, established in 1839, offers a complete range of quality gelatins for traditional purposes and also for the development of new products in the food processing industry (confectionery, dairy products, health foods, low-fat products, meat industry...) as well as for the pharmaceutical industry (hard and soft capsules, micro encapsulation...).

Valued at over $3M, the expansion project was finalized in late 2006.
