From a young age, there was no doubt in Teresa Broccolini’s mind that she would one day work in real estate. She earned her DEC in Commerce from John Abbott College, and then studied Business Administration at Concordia University before returning to John Abbott, and to the root of her passion, to earn her Brokers license in 2007. Influenced by her father’s career path in real estate and development, she was always more attracted to the commercial/operations side of the industry, and so she accepted a position as Executive Assistant at a property management firm with a large real estate portfolio. During her 7 years with the firm, she touched on all aspects of the business, from financing and marketing, to leasing and operations. After taking some time off to found her family, the very proud mother of two joined the family business in 2015 as Asset Management Coordinator in Broccolini’s Property Management division. Teresa brought with her a wealth of practical industry experience. Her well-rounded background gave her a distinct competitive edge and, three years later, her exemplary management and problem-solving skills saw her elevated to the role of Director of Property Management. Teresa participates actively in the day-to-day operations for Broccolini’s portfolio of 6,000,000 sq. ft. of industrial, office and retail space. She is heavily implicated in budget planning, in lease negotiations and in the disposition of assets. She also collaborates with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding for the company’s existing holdings. As Broccolini integrates their Toronto assets into their portfolio, Teresa’s responsibilities are poised to multiply. She is presently being mentored to take over the leadership of the Property Management division at Broccolini. Her passion, experience and strong work ethic ensure that the company’s assets are in very capable hands.
